Harvest Moon

was it hope or fear..
love or the lack of love,
I do not know how
an indifferent night
was persuaded ...to share
it's precious gem
like a cradled egg--
a birth of dreams

Beautiful! So, this is what inspired those lovely words. Now I understand.

Howard, this poem is so unusual - to see the moon as "a cradled egg" that night shares with us sounds very poetic and evokes so many associations that you want to read these lines over and over...

Marina-
the photo was so unusual for that- the oblate sphereoid shape,it seems i never see the moon in an exact way as before- i assume i am wrong about that but perceptions being what they are-- this photo was a golden egg...and the question i asked-- was from a place of humility-- such rare beauty can be a humbling experience...H

Oh my, how gorgeous this is. Yes, in the face of such beauty and kindness as the world shows, one can only feel humble.
